Safer Schools App
The online world is an essential part of our daily lives and learning how to use technology safely is an essential skill for young people. Online platforms are extremely popular with children but do pose risks as well and it is important that schools, parents and carers work together to take an active role in teaching children about online dangers.
Learning how to act safely when using the internet is an incredibly important part of safeguarding our children and you, as a parent/carer, can make a significant difference to your child’s online safety and support the online safety learning we promote in school.
The app will regularly be updated with Online safety news and advice for our children's parents and carers to help your child(ren) navigate the online world safely.
The app can be downloaded from your phone's app storeby searching ‘Safer Schools England’ or by clicking the links below.
For Apple users: App Store
For Android users: Google Play Store
Search school as 'Newlands Primary School' and choose 'Parents and Carers Primary' as the login and enter the code '6931' if needed.
If you have any questions or worries not covered in the app then please contact us via the school office.
Yours kindly
Mr Turner (Designated Safeguarding and PREVENT lead) and Mrs Lamprell (Safeguarding & Inclusion Admin)
